Open Source Projects Related to Final Project
Final Project
The theme of our group’s final project is focusing on the ocean. After determining the theme, we first conducted searches in related communities such as CSDN and Bilibili, and then we found some projects related to our final project for reference and learning.
Firstly, after determining the ocean-related theme, we first considered the appearance aspect. We found many designs related to the ocean, and finally chose jellyfish as the main design to showcase the ocean theme. We referred to three related cases for jellyfish design.
The first case is shown in the figure below. The first jellyfish design is relatively small, which meets our expectations for making the scene by ourselves, but it has relatively high requirements for materials and craftsmanship, and the overall design is slightly monotonous with a small size, which is not suitable for combining with other hardware.
The second case is shown in the figure below. The second case is the design of a large jellyfish lamp. It can be seen that its overall design is beautiful, and the effect is better with the use of lighting. However, its overall large size and additional decorations may cause our design to lose balance in overall presentation, and only let people see this jellyfish.
The third case is shown in the figure below. The overall design of the third case is closest to our expectations. Its best point is that it has a base, so we can place other hardware in the base without affecting the overall aesthetics. However, its theme is different from ours. Therefore, in terms of appearance, we will consider the advantages of this case, reduce the size of the jellyfish, reduce unnecessary decorations, and use a medium-thick base.
After determining the overall appearance, we thought about the use of hardware and the effect we want to present. In the search process, we plan to use the combination of heart rate sensor and light to show our attention to the ocean. Based on such an idea, we found similar cases.
The first case is shown in the figure below. This case combines the heart rate sensor with the light and servo to achieve the frequency of servo shaking with the same frequency as heartbeat. We plan to use similar design ideas to make the flashing frequency of the light strip in the device the same as the heartbeat.
The second case is shown in the figure below. This case also makes the flashing frequency of the light the same as the heartbeat. However, it concretizes the heart. We plan to refer to this idea to show that our heartbeat is in sync with marine creatures, but we do not plan to use the heart shape directly, but to present it in other ways.
Finally, here are the reference cases for our final project:
